Mark Lukac is a 2019 high school graduate. He is a freshman at UNF on a full academic scholarship looking to transfer into college basketball program.
I started playing basketball at the age of ten. I started playing because my dad enrolled me into a basketball club while I lived in Europe. My biggest influences were Kobe and LeBron, as they were the stars as I was growing up and playing basketball. I'm only 5'11, so I've been a guard all of my life. I did play the 3 sometimes when I was younger, but I have always had to handle the ball and be a knock down shooter. I averaged around 10 points and 5 assists last season in AAU.
My personal athletic goal is to become an overall better athlete and play the sport I love at the highest level I can. My goals with the travel team I am playing with this year is to win as many tournaments as possible and make a name for ourselves. I believe a college coach should take a chance on me because I am extremely hardworking, determined, and will always give it everything I have. My motor is very different. Whenever someone doubts my abilities, I like to prove what I can do on the court. I let my game do the talking.
I think my coach, teammates, and teachers would describe me as a hard worker that pays great attention to detail. I have volunteered in both youth sports at the YMCA and helping the homeless at Sulzbacher Village. In high school I graduated with a 4.3 GPA, achieved a 1260 SAT, was enrolled in AP, Dual Enrollment, Honors, and also had a top 50 class rank.
