I was starting first base for the Varsity Softball Team my freshman year. I played on the JV team as an 8th grader and spent 9 years playing baseball, often as the only girl on the team. I hit my first over the fence home run when I was 10, and enjoyed striking out batters as a pitcher, much to the boys chagrin. First base is my passion and nothing gets by me. On the JV team I stepped up as a pitcher when needed, although I had no experience pitching a softball. I am a fast learner, a hard worker and love to play with others who have equitable passion. I am positive and highly motivated to play well. I will work hard, and I'm dedicated to the game and my studies. I am very coachable and respond well to coaches and teachers who have high expectations and encourage me with feedback.
