Hey , my name is Damaja Goodwin and I’m currently a freshman at Vance Granville Community College in Henderson Nc . what motivates me about the game of basketball is how much you can easily be overlooked in high school and it makes me go even harder to prove that I can play at the collegiate level . My senior year of high school I was overlooked didn’t get notice but I averaged 11 points per game grabbing 6 rebounds . I feel like this is what I need to show my family and friends that I’m capable of making things happen with an opportunity like this . I’m a hard working person and my mindset is just go go go I want everything that’s thrown at me I’m just a competitor but also level headed . a leader at most and a teammate as well . regardless of the outcome I know I can be able to say I worked hard for anything that’s came my way .
