PERSONAL STATEMENT

Hi, my name is Jayden Rehlander. I am a junior at Hutchinson High, located in Hutchinson, Ks. I plan to major in physical therapy or business management with the intent to go to chiropractic school. I am writing this statement to express my desire and passion to pursue softball in college. I believe that softball is a game of failures and struggles, you must battle and give it all you have as a team and as an individual, whether you win or lose to achieve success. Not only in the game of softball, but in life as well. I have been blessed to have many great coaches and teammates which led to amazing experiences. My goal is to play softball at the college level and I am willing to put in the work it takes to improve as a player. I believe that in order to become the best player I can be I need to push myself and play at a higher level. Throughout my softball career I have had several accomplishments including being awarded 5 MVP medals, I was invited to play in the Colorado sparkler, (due to Covid I was not able to), playing varsity and lettering as a freshman, and being voted 2nd team all league pitcher as a freshman. However, some of my greatest accomplishments have come with the help of my team. Academics are extremely important to me and I have always done my best to carry at least a 3.5 or higher grade point average. I am very excited to see what the future holds and makes of me.
