The reasons my athletics and academics are so important to me, is my family they push me to be the best I can possibly be. Being raised by a single mom taught me a lot about how I should hold myself in my life and how I want to make her and brother proud in what I do with sports. There have been so many instances to make up excuses to fail or give up in my life, but I’ve pushed past them in my own way and it’s made me who I am and given me the chip on my shoulder that makes me want to compete and all I want and ask for is a chance to show that.
