Hi, my name is Conner Whitson I am a senior at Saraland High School my journey through high school football hasn’t been one for the history books I lived in Bakersfield California for 16 years of my live and play at Bakersfield Christian High School for my freshman and sophomore year my head coach was Darren Carr and my offensive coordinator was David Carr my Qb trainer was his farther Roger Carr I have learned so much from these three men and couldn’t had asked for a better way to end playing there sadly my junior year COVID hit and my family mad the decision to move to mobile Alabama where I went to mobile christian because I was being told I was going to be the guy there by the head coach but that didn’t roll out either the offensive coordinator wanted to play the kid who had been there his whole life so I decided I need to move after that season I move to Saraland high school where yet again I get told I will be the starter well that didn’t come to fruition either same exact thing happened they played the hometown kid my whole high school career has been full of politics and I the thing that keeps me going is I know that I am good enough to play at any level and I want to prove all the coaches wrong and what the missed out on. There’s a fire inside that doesn’t go out. I’m out training with Tyler Ferguson Christmas Eve at 7 am when it’s 30 degrees and coming home late Friday night after a game waking up at seven and throwing with QB country you won’t find a harder working person and a more driven person I have gone through the worst of it, so I am not going to be the superstar that played all four years of high school and thinks I deserve the spot no I am going to work for it and earn it
